Our Imaging Technology

Our facility offers MRI, CT, ultrasound, screening and diagnostic mammography, and digital X-ray. Our state-of-the-art machines are lightning-fast and quiet. Our newest generation of equipment means faster scanning times, greater comfort for patients and less time spent in medical appointments. Patients and their doctors can expect fast results which means less anxiety waiting for test results. Our dedicated team at the Cleveland Clinic and vRad means physicians and providers get fast, accurate diagnostics from leading radiologists.

CT

Our Revolution EVO Gen 3 is a wide bore CT system that works hard while making life easier for diagnosticians and physicians. Our scanner offers .28mm special resolution and is designed to reveal anatomic details obscured by metal artifacts and blurring artifacts due to motion in coronary vessels. The ASIR+ technology in our scanner allows technicians to lower the exam dose of radiation while preserving or even enhancing diagnostic value. This procedure can be ordered with or without contrast.

X-Ray

The Proteus XR/f digital radiography system lets EMI image any patient who comes in the door - economically, with confidence and clarity. With its versatile and robust floor-mounted design, we can perform a wide range of dose-efficient radiographic exams, from head to toe, on patients of all sizes, ages, and degrees of mobility.

Ultrasound

Our high-end ultrasound system, the GE LogicE10, uses 48 times the data throughput and 10 times the processing power of previous ultrasound systems. Our ultrasound technology enables our technologists to acquire extraordinary images across a broad spectrum of patients, from neonates to geriatric, with incredible uniformity from near to far field. Our system’s advanced imaging technology delivers penetration power even in high-BMI patients

MRI

The Optima™ MR450w with GEM Suite combines the benefits of wide-bore imaging with GEM, or Geometry Embracing Method, incorporating an approach to MR imaging that reflects the importance of conforming the geometry of the equipment and technology to that of the patients. This diagnostic procedure can be ordered with or without contrast.

Mammography

With exceptional diagnostic accuracy, the Pristina 3D digital mammography is clinically proven superior to conventional 2D mammogram technology.  Senographe Pristina has the lowest radiation dose of all FDA-approved systems. The Pristina also offers patient-controlled compression.

eRadiology, or teleradiology services, helps rural physicians solve the problem of access to radiology experts. Staffing qualified radiologists is only getting more difficult for rural hospital systems. Our breakthrough service model helps physicians and provides an affordable way to bridge the gap. EMI has trained, expert technologists at all our locations. Those technologists ensure every image or scan is properly completed and instantly uploaded to our Cleveland Clinic radiologists or vRad radiologists for breast imaging and ultrasound.

Cleveland Clinic

EMI utilizes high-speed, secure internet connections, instant messaging and advanced RIS and PACS (Radiology Information System/Picture Archiving and Communication System) systems. This technology also provides referring physicians with electronic access to their patient’s images and reports via a secure web viewer.
